Rig Moor converts staking yield and productive collateral into on-chain liquidity, forming the financial backbone of Fuel’s DeFi ecosystem. By integrating stFUEL as a core collateral type, the protocol introduces the first stablecoin backed by staking yield on Fuel, allowing users to unlock liquidity without sacrificing their underlying yield.
The system is designed to evolve over time, with planned upgrades in 2026 introducing a continuous interest model, expanded collateral support, and advanced governance mechanics inspired by Liquity v2.
$MOOR is the native governance and utility token of the Rig Moor protocol and serves as the core mechanism for value accrual, alignment, and participation.
$MOOR is used for:
- Staking to earn protocol fees generated from USDM minting and redemptions.
- Receiving revenue distributions paid in ETH, USDC, FUEL, and USDM.
- Participating in weekly buybacks funded by protocol revenue through PIL (Protocol Incentive Layer).
- Governance voting via the upcoming veMOOR vote-escrow model.
- Boosting Stability Pool rewards and influencing protocol parameters.
- Long-term alignment with protocol growth and liquidity expansion.
Rig Moor also introduces a closed-loop flywheel that reinforces the Fuel ecosystem:
Stake FUEL → Receive stFUEL
Use stFUEL as collateral → Mint USDM
Swap USDM for FUEL → Re-stake into The Rig
Stake MOOR → Earn protocol fees
This flywheel strengthens the USDM peg, deepens liquidity, and continuously increases protocol revenue for MOOR stakers.
