Unlike traditional proof-of-work systems where the work is cryptographically purposeless (e.g., hash puzzles), the Superquantum Network's consensus mechanism is based on verifiable scientific computation. Specifically, the network uses quantum circuit execution as its primary unit of work, embedding useful computation directly into the consensus process.
QTC is used across the protocol as a reward token for contributors, a utility token for simulation task submission, and a staking token for validators who participate in verifying job results and maintaining network integrity. The token economy is designed to support long-term sustainability by aligning incentives between developers, miners, and users engaged in quantum software research.
To facilitate interaction with quantum software tools, the Superquantum protocol provides integration with standard quantum programming frameworks such as cuQuantum, Cirq, Qiskit, etc.
The Qubitcoin network operates entirely on its own blockchain and does not rely on existing platforms like Ethereum or BNB Chain. All consensus, ledger, and job coordination functions are native to the Superquantum protocol.
The broader goal of the network is to provide a scalable, accessible path for exploring quantum algorithms and benchmarking quantum devices using classical resources. This supports early-stage quantum software development,and reproducibility validation for experimental research.
Superquantum is maintained by a non-profit organization based in Texas, United States, and its development is open-source. The project is supported by a global community of researchers, developers, and distributed GPU node operators. The roadmap includes upcoming features such as zero-knowledge job validation, DAO-based governance, and partnerships with quantum hardware teams for hybrid experiments.
