**What is DeGate?**
DeGate is a self-custodial multichain crypto wallet that combines swapping, earning, and access to onchain markets in a single app — while keeping users fully in control of their own money.

Providing liquidity on major assets with one click. Instead of manually opening and managing concentrated liquidity positions on DEXs, users can provide liquidity on major assets — including crypto, tokenized stocks, indices, and gold — with a single tap.
Holding and trading tokenized real-world assets. Users can access tokenized stocks, stock indices, and gold issued by regulated partners, tradable 24/7 and settled in USDC. **What key events have there been for DeGate?**
DeGate's evolution reflects a clear shift from a specialized DEX into a full-featured multichain self-custodial wallet. Key milestones include:
February 2024 — DEX mainnet launch.
DeGate launched as a decentralized exchange protocol on Ethereum mainnet, with a focus on transparent, self-custodial trading. This established the foundation of DeGate's non-custodial security model, which has carried through every product iteration since.
December 2024 — Transition toward a wallet experience.
DeGate introduced its wallet-based swap experience, initially supporting Solana. During this period, the original DEX protocol continued to operate alongside the new wallet, allowing users to transition gradually.
June 2025 — Full pivot to a multichain wallet. DeGate sunset the standalone DEX and fully committed to the self-custodial wallet model. This release expanded chain coverage significantly and introduced Simple Earn — a set of curated USDC and SOL earning vaults powered by established DeFi protocols.
