The network runs two chains. A proof-of-work resource chain, which any machine can join regardless of specification, selects validators. A main chain running the project's own HAP-2 (Hypothesis Acceptance Procedure) consensus processes transactions, and a block is valid with signatures from 6 of the 9 current validators. Transactions settle in approximately 4 seconds. The protocol fixes a block after 10 resource blocks, approximately 600 seconds, after which no reversal is possible. The resource chain targets a 60-second block interval; the median daily mean interval across the network's history is 59.5 seconds.
SL, the native coin, has never been sold. There was no ICO, IEO, private sale or public sale, and no allocation to the team, investors, a foundation or a treasury. The entire supply is issued through mining, in the same manner as Bitcoin. Maximum supply is 5,500,000,000 SL, emitted over a schedule spanning approximately 100 years, with issuance decaying at 27/32 per year — roughly halving every four years. Because nothing was allocated, no vesting or unlock schedule exists.
The network rewards consensus, storage and query contribution separately rather than concentrating rewards on computation alone. Nodes that retain chain data and answer validator queries accumulate receipts redeemable in SL, so contributing disk capacity is compensated alongside mining. This partial data storage design allows arbitrary data to be written directly to the chain: an NFT issued on SASEUL stores its original data on-chain rather than a URL pointing to an external server.
As of July 2026 the network's Nakamoto coefficient is 102, meaning at least 102 miners would be required to produce more than half of all blocks, and the ten largest miners account for 17.11% of blocks produced.
The GUARDEE wallet, published by ArtiFriends on iOS and Android, provides access to the network and supports NFT issuance and management, NFC-based payment, transfer of an NFT to an NFC tag, and QR transfers. Several services running on SASEUL are built and operated by independent third parties with no involvement from ArtiFriends, including a mining pool, a block explorer, a network dashboard and an on-chain message board.
